India’s Internet Industry has promise

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

The National Internet Exchange in India claims that the one millionth .IN registration has been made. India’s information industry is lacking tremendously and only 8% of the population is using the internet, although more than 70 % of the population has cell phones. There is a potential to have new sites emerging in India, where there are 800 million cell phone connections and the possibly for them to gain internet access on their cell phones could be huge to the internet industry. If the industry and government push to advance there could be a giant boom in registrations in India.  To read further please click here.

Owning a .ASIA domain is a fantastic opportunity in the domain market and is connecting western businesses with Asia much faster than expected. Asia is quickly becoming the world’s largest internet market and will soon supersede internet users in the United States. This area is gaining large economic increases and is now expanding the identity of the Asian market. It is predicted that households in Asian countries such as South Korea, Singapore, and Japan are internet wired in over 90 percent of homes. ICANN has opened registrations for individuals who have contacts in Asia to grow the domain extension into a truly global presence.

A new .ASIA domain registration will give the opportunity for buyers to identify with the region as a whole, compared to individual country domain names. The ICANN sponsored .ASIA domain name space is anuntouched resource for businesses and individuals alike and will give them the opportunity to gain an internet presence in the Asian markets at a very cheap price. A presence in the Asian market in the future will surely enhance business connections and keep entrepreneurs and business owners ahead of the game. The Asian market will soon be the leader for everything.

Don’t miss out on this great buy! This is one of those situations where you will be sorry later for not having invested now. How can you pass up a business investment cheaper than the lunch you bought today!

The CEO of Telnic, London, considers this “the near future, organizations with numeric-only trademarks or with two letter brands will be able to register their .tel names and individuals will be able to get unique or lucky number as a fun online identifier.”  What are these TLD’s? The ICANN staff admitted the release of both numeric .tel TLD’s and short TLD’s like jk.tel. In over 180 countries 300,000 .tel names have been registered. However,  these names are not available for registration if you would like more information please contact http://telnic.org.

Seven new ccTLD’s come to India.

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

There are many cultural identities and languages that make up India and ICAAN approved seven new ccTLD’s to support different local languages. The new ccTLD’s are: भारत (“Bharat”), encoded as “xn--h2brj9c”; بھارت “Bharat”), encoded as “xn--mgbbh1a71e”; భారత్ (“Bharat”), encoded as “xn--fpcrj9c3d”; ભારત (“Bharat”), encoded as “xn--gecrj9c”; ਭਾਰਤ (“Bharat”), encoded as “xn--s9brj9c”; இந்தியா (“Bharat”), encoded as “xn--xkc2dl3a5ee0h”; and ভারত (“Bharat”), encoded as “xn--45brj9c. This is such a positive step to have the different entities of a culture recognized and get connected with new domains.

Netherland Antilles Split create new CCTLD’s

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

On October 10, 2010 the Netherland Antilles officially split and Curacao and Sint Maarten became autonomous territories of the Netherlands.  The Netherlands is now the administrator for Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius.  Three months later three new country-code top-level domains were created to denote the separation of the islands,  and after one week the IANA added the new ccTLD’s to their database. The new ccTLD’s appeared on the market during Christmas.  What does that mean for buyers? Although the opportunity to buy has passed the new ccTLD’s remain profitable. Even the countries governments have to apply for their own ccTLD’s, which largely are owned by domain name companies. The countries are small and have few traffic so it won’t be time for high volumes buys of ccTLD’s, but some profit is possible. Hilariously enough, one of the new ccTLD’s (Sint Maarten) has a new ccTLD called .sx, which can easily fail victim to bad usage.  At any rate there are new ccTLD’s, which help the IANA database grow and create new internet identities for those countries.
