United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is calling for collaboration in its final treaty over the Internet. The sector published a draft version to its website that is up for discussion in the upcoming international conference in Dubai. The consultation of other countries will be accepted until November 3rd. The House of Representatives voted against the previous ITU plan three months ago saying that the Internet does not need those types of restrictions and regulations imposed. The plan to enforce taxes and financial commitments would also seen as an economic disaster and against civil liberties. To read further click here.
