New Countries New ccTLD’s

ICANN is preparing to approve  two new top-level-domains this week. The two names that will be released are .cw and .sx for the nations Curacao and Sint Maarten. These countries were created just over a year ago when the Netherlands Antilles split into two separate nations last October. ICANN is planning its transition phase from the Netherlands Antilles name .an, which now is ccTLD for a country that doesn’t exist. Any one with an existing .an will be eligible to register their equivalent .sx name.
