Although recent developments in Kazakhstan, which have now changed again in favor of Google, Google.KZ is available again for users in Kazakhstan. The Kazakhstan Network Information Centre created by the Ministry of Communications and Information in Kazakhstan required all .kz domain names, such as google.kz, to work on physical servers within the country. This “law” temporarly created borders to the internet and forced all searches to servers inside the country. This limited Google greatly and delayed the systems ability to search and slowed network efficiency. On June 14th ‘servers within borders rule’ was revoked and Google now functions properly.
