IPV4 runs low
Strict rationing of Europe’s IPV4 addresses has started as supplies run low. From this point forward companies are only allowed to apply once more and if the application is successful may only receive 1,024 addresses. Any old addresses that had applied in the past must demonstrate how the new address will aid and will fit into the companies scheme. The new system replacing IPV4 is IPV6 and applicants must demonstrate how they plan to use the new system if they would like to receive any of the old addresses. On September 14th there were only 16 million addresses left and according to experts if you want anything to do with the web you better get on board with IPV6.
