Whether you are recently engaged, planning a wedding for someone else, or thinking ahead, every couple needs help getting to “I DO.”

101domain has the digital wedding planning tools you need to bring your vision to life from “Where do I begin?!” to adding the final touches. Take complete control of the planning process with website, email, and design services at your fingertips.

Wedding Website

Wedding websites are at the heart of the wedding planning process. Your wedding website allows you to share your love story, communicate important information to your guests, collect RSVPs, and share your wedding registry.

You can use a service like The Knot, Zola, or 101domain’s Easy Website Builder to create your wedding website using beautiful pre-designed templates and adding your own images, text, links, and more.

Easy Website Builder

Domain Name

No matter what service you choose, you can elevate your wedding website with a personalized domain name. Instead of using the standard URL you’re given (i.e. TheKnot.com/sarah-john-miller-october2022) you can choose anything you want—and it doesn’t have to end in “.com”.

.wedding
.rsvp
.love
.date
.day
.church

If you are using 101domain’s Easy Website Builder, you can automatically connect your domain name, but if you use a third-party service like the Knot, you’ll need to set up web forwarding.

Website Forwarding

Once you find a memorable name for your website, you can register the domain name and set up web forwarding. It’s free and easy to do! If a guest types in your domain name, they will be automatically redirected to your wedding website. That way, you can use your special domain name anywhere you mention your website—like on your save the date and invitation.

Setting up forwarding on a domain name you have at 101domain:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Select the Domain Names tab.
  3. Select the domain name for which you would like to add web forwarding.
  4. Scroll down to the Web Forwarding section and click on Configure Web Forwarding.
  5. The Add/Update forwarding screen displays where there are 2 options available: Cloaking Forwarding and HTTP 301 Forwarding.
  6. Select the Enable Web Forwarding radio button. Use the drop-down arrow to select HTTP 301 Forwarding—forwards your domain name to another URL while changing the name to the forwarded-to URL in the browser location bar.
  7. In the Redirect URL text box, type the URL you were given for your wedding website.
  8. Click Okay to save your settings.

Communicate & Collaborate

An essential tip wedding planners swear by is creating a joint email address you and your partner can use for everything wedding related. There are many moving parts during wedding planning, and you don’t want to miss an important email in your crowded inbox. Create a wedding-dedicated email address using Google Workspace to keep everything organized in one place.

Set up color-coded labels and automatically filter your wedding emails into organized folders by vendor, topic, or event.

Tasks

Gmail tasks

Gmail makes it easy to create tasks from email and add notes and due dates to help you stay on top of everything for the wedding.

Let’s say you register the domain name www.TheMillers.wedding for your website. You can connect your domain name to Google Workspace and create a custom email address ending in your domain name (ex. [email protected]).

You get the Gmail email platform you already know and love, plus an additional suite of services to help you with the wedding planning process. There are two other Google Workspace applications we want to mention that will really help you communicate and collaborate with anyone involved in your wedding.

Google Meet

Google Meet

Meet with your family, vendors, officiant, and wedding party face-to-face, even if you can’t be physically together with Google Meet video and voice calling. Present your screen to everyone in the meeting, get ai-powered transcriptions to help with note-taking, and meeting recordings to share with anyone who couldn’t be in attendance.

Google Calendar

Make sure you and your fiancé’s calendars are in sync with Google Calendar. Set up a Shared Calendar to keep track of meetings, deadlines, and events.

Pro wedding tip! Don’t forget to schedule date nights with your partner throughout your engagement to stay connected and take a break from 24/7 wedding talk.

CREATE

The most exciting part of planning a wedding is all of the little details that go into making the day a representation of the couple getting married. Use Google Workspace apps to create all of the special touches for your wedding. Create documents in Google Docs, surveys in Google Forms (great for organizing bachelorette parties), and Google Slides to create wedding vision boards—there is no cap on what you can accomplish with Google Workspace.
