Welcome to the latest article in our President’s Desk series. In this series, I share updates and insights about 101domain and how we can best serve your organization’s needs. Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered topics such as:

Today, I want to talk about upcoming features set to release in 2025 that will improve your experience with 101domain. We’re always looking for ways to make our products and services better and we believe that these upcoming features will do just that!


SSO Integration

Requests for single sign-on, or SSO, have been increasing over the last year as clients focus on their organizational security postures. We will soon be offering SSO integration with Okta, Entria, Duo, and Google. This will allow you to use your existing SSO credentials from these providers to log in to your 101domain account. SSO integration will make it easier for you to manage your account and users who access your account while improving security and change management for your organization. You can learn more about SSO in this document.

Here are some of the specific features and benefits you will see:

  • Secure and unified login: Allows users (primary and sub-users) to securely log in to their 101domain accounts using their existing company credentials across any of the supported SSO providers.
  • Sub-user access management: Primary account holders can enforce SSO login for all sub-users or allow sub-users to choose their preferred login method.
  • Centralized user management: Administrators can manage user access from their own IT systems, eliminating the need to enable or disable access to their 101domain accounts separately.
  • Secure session management: Maintains user sessions securely across the 101domain system and your SSO provider.
  • Unified logout: Terminates sessions both in 101domain’s system and with your SSO provider.

Client API

We are also working on a new client account API. This will allow you to programmatically manage your 101domain account and many of the services in it. The API will give you the ability to not only pull out information about all of your domain assets and services in your account, but will also allow you to send requests, such as registering domains, updating DNS records, and managing your account settings, from your own systems and tools.  APIs are especially helpful for teams that manage large domain portfolios and would like to utilize their own management tools to do so.

Here are some of the specific features and benefits:

  • Programmatic domain management: Register, renew, transfer, and update domain settings.
  • DNS automation: Add, edit, or delete hostnames and DNS records.
  • Account management: Update contact information, enable/disable auto-renewal, set domain privacy, and purchase add-ons.
  • Secure authentication: API keys and OAuth 2.0 ensure only authorized clients can access and modify data.

Monthly Account Statements

We will soon be offering monthly account statements. These statements will provide you with a summary and detailed overview of your account activity, including your charges, payments, and credits. The statements can be used for record-keeping and for reconciling your account activity and are especially helpful for large accounts.

Here are some of the specific features and benefits:

  • Summary statement: Provides a summary statement of account balance-affecting transactions such as payments and invoices, beginning and ending balances.
  • Detailed statement: Provides a line by line accounting of all activity on your account by domain name, product and service including domain registrations, renewals, transfers and other services.
  • Combined Invoice download: Allows you to download a month’s invoices with one click into one PDF.
  • Payment tracking: Tracks payments and credits, simplifying reconciliation.
  • Record keeping: Offers a consolidated monthly record for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Improved transparency: Gives clients a clear understanding of their expenses.

New & Improved Document Management Center

We are also working on a new and dramatically improved Document Management Center. This will be a central location for you to manage all of your 101domain documents related to domain name services.  You will be able to use the Document Management Center to upload, manage, and share documents with 101domain support as needed for domain registrations and renewals.

Here are some of the specific features and benefits:

  • Centralized storage: Provides a secure repository for all your domain-related documents.
  • Organization and access: Allows you to organize, view, manage, archive, delete and use documents for multiple domain orders and requests.
  • Tag & notate documents:  Allows you to tag and add notes to easily find and organize your documents.
  • Collaboration: Facilitates document sharing and collaboration among your team and 101domain staff.
